Benissa se encuentra en el extremo norte de la Costa Blanca, justo al lado de la autopista A-7; el viaje desde y hacia el aeropuerto de Alicante dura poco más de una hora. La ciudad es pequeña, pero encantadora, con su arquitectura medieval y sus encantadoras plazas. Aunque está a sólo 5 kilómetros del mar en línea recta, las playas más cercanas por carretera están a unos 11 kilómetros y las localidades costeras de Calpe (al sur) y Moraira (al noreste) a unos 12 kilómetros.
